KUWAIT - CULTURAL CENTER

Public Art meets Spatial Identity by Clear Visual Storytelling

We were honored to be among a small group of selected European artists invited to the opening of the Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre in Kuwait City. The cultural center comprises six museum buildings. Within this context, we realized two large-scale tape murals on the inward-facing façades of the Museum of Space and Science and the Museum of Transportation and Robotics History.

In addition, we conducted an open workshop at the Centre of Fine Arts, inviting participants to collaboratively create another mural. This hands-on format extended the project beyond installation, turning it into a shared creative experience.

The conceptual foundation for the murals was primarily developed by Nicolas Lawin and Stefan Busch.

The project demonstrated how Tape Art can activate monumental cultural architecture while fostering public participation and exchange.
