TAPE TRAIN
Super Graphic Art On Public Train As Creative Promotion
This supergraphic installation redefined public advertising on urban trains, transforming it into an unconventional and highly distinctive visual experience.
The core idea was to bring the Tape Art exhibition by Tape That Collective in Kaohsiung directly to the public by moving the artwork out of the exhibition space and into the city — using a moving promotional platform. For the first time, an entire train was designed as a Tape Art piece, executed with non-destructive adhesive foils that could be easily removed after the campaign.
To ensure maximum visual impact at night the installation featured fluorescent night-glowing foils that recharge at daytime and radiate the collected light after sunset.
Fully deployed across the city, the train created a powerful visual impact and significantly amplified the project’s public relations reach. The intervention quickly became widely known throughout the city and was featured on national television.
This project was made possible through close cooperation with the City Council of Kaohsiung and the support of the local train company. Together with our local hosts, Fundesign TV, we were able to convince all partners to embrace this unconventional approach.
